Documentation center
The center, located in Castor, angle J n° 1 Street - Geographical city in Dakar, is open every Monday to Friday, from 9: 00 am to 5: 00 pm.
The PAN Africa documentation Centre, specialized in chemical pesticides issues, integrated pest management and sustainable agriculture, is open to the public every Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 p.m. It has about 2200 books and reports, more than 200 periodicals, case studies in French, English and Spanish. Pesticides, their origin, classification, effects on pests, humans, animals and the environment, policies and strategies to reduce the use of pesticides are regular themes.
• IPM (Integrated Pest Management) and the natural protection of plants: approaches, interests, methods, techniques, experiences and results recorded in Africa and the world,
• Agriculture, sustainable development and agricultural policies; biological agriculture approaches, Agroecology, agricultural research, farmers' organizations, distribution of agricultural produce,
• Environment: destruction of the ozone layer, desertification mitigation, waste, pollution and nuisances,
• Biodiversity & Biotechnology, policies and initiatives for the conservation of biodiversity, biotechnology development and challenges,
• Natural Resources, Forestry and Energy; information on agro-forestry, energy resources and natural resources,
• Hydrology and Climatology: dams, environmental and water management, economic development and climate change,
• Population and Health: global population and health system studies, pesticide and toxic chemicals effects on health, results of epidemiological surveys and laboratory experiments.
