Abou THIAM
Coordinator

Professor at the Institute of Environmental Sciences, Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar. Specialized in plant ecology, and environmental issues of pesticides. Abou Thiam is from Mali and has a PhD in Environmental Sciences at the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (Senegal).
He has been teaching Botany and Plant Ecology since 1984 at the Institute of Environmental Sciences. He has directed several development and research actions on pesticides and their alternatives in collaboration with farmers groups in several Francophone countries of West Africa as from 1982.
He has also edited several scientific publications on plants and vegetation, reports and books on the integrated control of plant pests and crop natural protection methods. He has been for ten years in charge of the ENDA Tiers Monde Natural Protection Program (PRONAT), an international NGO working on environmental and development issues.
He is currently the regional coordinator of Pesticide Action Network Africa based in Dakar. .

MMrs Fatou KOITE NDIAYE takes care of the accounting and financial management jobs of PAN Africa’s projects.
Mamadou KANE

Mr. Kane is in charge of the documentation center of PAN Africa since 1998.
The center has documents dealing with pesticides, integrated control, sustainable agriculture and sustainable development as a whole. It is open to the public from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every Mondays to Fridays .

He is in charge of the Velingara (Kolda) farmers’ Integrated Pest Management training program against the boll weevil at PAN Africa. Mr Mourtada also handles some computer tasks (website, brochure, etc..).
Ndèye Maïmouana DIENE

Miss NDEYE Maïmouna DIENE holds a Master's degree in geography and is specialized in Ecosystems and Environment from the Gaston Berger University of Saint-Louis (Senegal).
In the course of the training, she learned a lot about Environmental Assessment issues, mapping and natural resource management. She also holds a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development Engineering, with a Specialization in Health Sciences, Environment, Territory and Society obtained from the Versailles University of Saint-Quentin in Yvelines (France).
This master taught her environmental and social issues related to chemicals, their health impacts and also alert and prevention health risk systems. She joined the PAN Africa staff in January 2012. She deals with the sensitization campaign on pesticides and their health and environmental impacts; mapping works but also with the issue of women's leadership and empowerment.

Seydou DIALLO

Master’s degree holder in in auditing and management control from the Business High School of Dakar (Sup De Co-Dakar). He is currently preparing his master's degree in accounting and financial management at the African Centre for Advanced Studies in Management (CESAG).
Seydou Diallo is part of PAN Africa since April 2009 as an accountant. He establishes the annual account infill situations (account management, monitoring, control and review). He equally drafts estimated budget, establishes payslips and overseeing budgetary monitoring projects.
