Many civil society organizations from Senegal including PAN Africa took part in this important meeting.
The objective of this innovative dialogue was to strengthen the partnership between the EU and Senegalese civil society in order to strengthen their respective impact in Senegal, in all areas of common interest.
This day marked the holding of the first session of this structured dialogue, structured around the following theme: “What collective and innovative responses from civil society to the concerns of young people in terms of employment? “. This first session was divided into three panels:
● Panel 1: What perspectives in the field of food sovereignty (agriculture, fishing and livestock);
● Panel 2: What perspectives in the field of social entrepreneurship and the private sector (start-ups, eco-tourism, digital, crafts, culture and sport)? ;
● Panel 3: What jobs in the field of industries linked to energy and natural resources (local content law, renewable energies, oil, gas and artisanal mining)
At the end of this meeting, each of these panels proposed a set of recommendations which could inform the action of civil society, partners such as the European Union, but also the authorities who were associated with this event.
